Why not a new shower?

In the past people did not see a shower as something of great importance. There was a bath and that was good enough. Not any longer

We are living in a hectic world; we sweat at night and do not have the time to have a bath in the morning. Even filling a bath takes time, which is not always available, when we are rushing around getting ready to go to work, school, etc.

A shower has become an absolute necessity. In realising this fact, we cannot and will not take the time to play around with stop valves that turn the flow of water, first too hot and then too cold. It must be right; there's no time to waste.

If the budget cannot be stretched for a Thermostatic Mixer, then perhaps an Under-tile Levermixer will fall into the right price-class. With minute adjustments the temperature can be right, but alas, not if someone flushes the toilet or fills a kettle for an early morning cup of coffee.

Is there still time to adjust the shower spray or shower angle? If that is so, then why not opt for a showerhead that incorporates a massage spray for easing those muscle pains away. Alternatively, you could get one of those big round or square showerheads installed that come straight from the ceiling. A volume of water, much like a waterfall, will freshen you up and that ever so important shower in the morning is done.

One might say, "Oh, that old shower will do!" That is, the one that sprays in all different directions because it builds up lime-scale in no time at all and has to be cleaned every now and then. Modern showerheads have a silicon lining around the holes to prevent this and should there be something blocking them, it can be scratched off with a fingernail.

It is amazing how inexpensive such items have become. Next time you find yourself close to one of those reputable distributors of quality showerheads and arms, go and inspect them. Knowledge comes free of charge.
